Just heard that Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse killed himself over the weekend.

I vividly remember the first time I heard It’s A Wonderful Life. The title track is sheer genius. It remains one of my all time favorite songs and is the gold standard of achingly beautiful music.

The idea that his cannon is now set is a hard one to take. It’s going to be a while before I get used to this.
